Bio
Ashley Jade is a Professional Dancer, Choreographer, Educator, and Content Creator based in NJ/NYC.
AJ earned her BFA in Dance from The Boston Conservatory, with concentrations in Contemporary, Concert Jazz, Choreography, and Improvisation. She is an alum of Springboard Danse Montreal, Bates Dance Festival, and Strictly Seattle. AJ has performed repertory by Jose Limón, Twyla Tharp, Francesca Harper, Robert Moses, Tommy Neblett, Anna Myer, Delfos Danza, Peter Chu, La Tresse, and Zoe Scofield. While in residency with Delfos Danza in 2015, she trained extensively in Piso Movil under the tutelage of Omar Carrum, which has heavily influenced her approach to contemporary floorwork today.
AJ Co-Founded/Directed Undercurrent Dance Company from 2017-2019, teaching professional level floorwork classes in Seattle, WA on faculty at Velocity Dance Center and at the Fremont Abbey. As a freelance artist, AJ has performed in works by Liz Houlton, Liv Fauver, and Faunix. She has performed and presented her own choreographic works across Mexico, Canada, and the US.
AJ’s artistry extends to content creation for brands and events, partnering with companies including BLOCH, Core Hydration, BAND-AID, Kenneth Cole, OURA, Factor, RedBull, Hertz, BodyArmor, Quest Nutrition, TYinc, LiquidIV, and more. She has built a dance career on social media through offering informative dance videos and tutorials in contemporary floorwork, and launched an online subscription specializing in floorwork, offering a library of tutorials and 1-1 guidance for clients.
AJ is currently on faculty at North Jersey School of Dance Arts teaching contemporary classes, and offers private dance instruction, guest choreography, and master classes worldwide.
